1. How does this work?
The download system is powered by Payloadz, a Paypal Service. See www.payloadz.com
for more info. Basically, this is how it works:
Step 1: Visit the web site and chooses one or more items to purchase
(items can be song downloads or cd's)
Step 2: Then checkout via PayPal and make payment directly using your
a credit card, checking account, or PayPal balance
Step 3: Once payment is completed, you are redirected to a download
page to get the file(s) and an email is sent with the purchase information
2. Will free downloads be available?
Yes. Either on this site or via www.indie-mp3.co.uk.
Samples will also provided on this site. There is now a sample of at least
one song per release and a couple of exlcusive rare or live tracks.
3. I'm having problems downloading and I bought
a song?
The Paylaodz system gives you 1 hour to complete a download or try again
after a failed download. If problems persist let me know and we can sort
it out
4. Why are Egg Records doing this?
I thought I would try this as a way of releasing a small number of tracks.
Maybe where bands don't have enough tracks for a CD album or new tracks
have been discovered. I'm unsure where this will lead.
5. Why not do it free?
It's a possibility. A small charge will help keep things going and help
with the CD releases. Bands are paid royalies are per normal agreements
between the bands and Egg.
6. What about copyright?
All downloads will be cleared with the copyright owners. This is all ok
as long as the track is copyright control of the writers.
